The selling takes place in a secure eCommerce store that reflects your business style. You control it and you create what you want to sell.
There are no upfront cost to your business and no credit cards are required. Voucher Connect integrates with Stripe meaning you get full access to your money as each purchase is made.
We also list your business in our online voucher directory, giving you access to a larger customer base.
We deduct 5% from the total voucher amount to cover all costs including your banking and platform fees. We charge the customer a small transaction fee also based on their order. Learn more about our simple fee structure.
How To Get Voucher Connect For Your Business
Step 1. Sign Up
The first step is to sign up here. Fill in the form from the button, enter your business name, some business details, your email and choose a password.
After filling in this form we will send you an email which must be verified. Once verified you will be brought to our Store Setup Wizard which will guide you through the process of setting up your store, choosing products and selecting your templates etc.
During this process you will be required to Connect to Stripe. If you do not already have a Stripe account then you will need to create one. This is very simple to do and is what will allow you to get your money from your customer orders. We use Stripe as our eCommerce transaction partner. This allows us to concentrate on making the Voucher Connect platform better while they concentrate on handling all of your money.
Once this is completed a new Voucher Connect store will be created for your business. You can then link this from your website any way you wish.
Step 2. Getting The Most Out of Your New Online Store and Dashboard
A big thing we push our customers to do is get familiar with the their online store and the Dashboard that controls everything.
Voucher Connect is 100% web based. There is no software to install nor specific requirements apart from a browser and an internet connection. You can access the most important elements on any phone or tablet also if you’d pref.
The web application is simple to use and allows you to get as hands on as you wish. Once you’ve setup your store you are ready to go. You can integrate the widget code into your own site or use your custom link in any promotions you are having.
The Dashboard allows you to set up new products, product categories, special offers and promotions as well as allowing you to customise your storefront. We know that your brand is important to you so we’ve worked hard to give you the tools to create amazing templates that reflect your company style. Your customers will get stylish vouchers that are on-brand, on-message and don’t just look like piece of printed paper.
With each print-out we give people handy folding guides to make sure your gift vouchers is the best gift on offer.
Step 3. How Transactions Happen
Once you’re up and running, have connected your Stripe account and have linked to your store from your website you can start selling vouchers.
Our beautiful storefront template is easy to use and fully smartphone and tablet compatible meaning your customers should have no problems managing to purchase vouchers.
Once a voucher is purchased a number of things happen. The purchaser gets a PDF printable voucher with a unique code that represents the voucher value. This code is unique and coincides with both the transaction and your store. These codes can not be generated independently.
Voucher Connect and Security
We take security very seriously. We employ 256bit SSL encryption throughout the site and are fully PCI compliant. Every voucher code is unique and is generated at the time of purchase. The eCommerce Shop element and credit card transactions also take place within a secure environment. Credit Card details are processed by our partners Stripe and RealEx Payments and are never held on our servers.
When the purchase transaction is complete you will receive a notification email letting you know who and what the customer purchased. This transaction is recorded in our dashboard also. We keep a record of all transactions in the dashboard and generate reports so you can analyse how your sales and promotions are doing.
Step 4. Getting Your Money
When you connect your Stripe account you can see your money pass in real time from the customer at the moment of purchase to your nominated business account. The transactions are transparent and the reimbursements of funds are predictable.
Voucher Connect do not have any influence on your customer credit card transactions. We can not support nor counter claims of failed transactions due to invalid card numbers, insufficient funds or multiple transactions due to customer error on our site. We only validate transactions based on the server response given to us by our merchant partners.
Step 5. When The Customer Comes to Redeem The Voucher
When the customer comes to redeem the voucher in your business the most important thing to get is the Unique Voucher Code. This code is clearly printed on the voucher PDF.
We recommend insisting on getting this code before offering any credit in-store based on customer anecdotes.
With this code you can validate the remaining value of the voucher using the Dashboard. Here you will get details of when the voucher was purchased, who purchased it and the remaining balance. Any credit given to customers at this point should be redeemed from the system to avoid any future claims.
